What is Toggl Connector?

Toggl Connector is Looker Studio connector(Data Studio connector) that helps to connect Looker Studio with Toggl Track and use it as a data source in Looker Studio.

Toggl Connector turns your data into informative dashboards and reports that are easy to read, easy to share, and fully customizable.


What is Toggl track?

Toggl Track is a time tracking software that offers online time tracking and reporting services through their website along with mobile and desktop applications. Toggl Track tracks time blocks, optionally labeled with a task, a project, and tags.

You can track how many hours you spend working on tasks from the Windows application, and then run reports, manage projects, and review timesheets in the browser version.

How does it work?

Step 1: Choose "Toggl" connector by Jivrus Technologies from Looker Data Studio Partner Gallery

Step 2: Click on 'AUTHORIZE' button for authorizing your google account.

Step 3: Once you click Authorize button, you can provide access with your Google account


Click on 'Allow' button for Access google Account.

Step 4: Once you are authorized to google account then you need to authorize for third-party service. In this case Toggl.
Provide Toggl KEY and Click on Submit.



Getting Toggl API Key:

  • Login to your Toggl account and go to the Profile Settings page.
    Navigate to : https://track.toggl.com/profile

  • At the bottom of this page, find API token Section and click on
    "-Click to reveal-" button to generate your API Key.

  • Copy your Key to the API Key field.


Step 5: once you click on the authorize button you need to give access to your Toggl account by Entering your key value.

Step 6: Click on Submit button.

Step 7: Choose the Object you want to use.

  • Time Entries

  • Clients

  • Tags

  • Projects

  • Users

  • Workspaces

  • Tasks

Step 8: Select required value from dropdown and click on NEXT button.

Step 9: Click on 'Connect' button present on the top right corner to Continue.

Step 10: The available fields from the Projects Object is listed .

Step11: Use this as a data source and continue normally with designing your report in Looker Studio.

Step 12: Click on 'Create Report' button.

Step 13: You can customize the dashboard as you want.
