How does it work?

Step 1: Choose "Smartsheet" connector by Jivrus Technologies from Google Looker Studio Partner Gallery

Step 2: Click on 'AUTHORIZE' button for authorizing your google account.

Step 3: Once you click Authorize button, you can provide access with your Google account

Click on 'Allow' button for Access google Account.

Step 4: Once you give access to google account, you need to authorize the third-party service. In this case Smartsheet.

step 5: Click on 'AUTHORIZE' button for authorizing your Smartsheet account.

Step 6: Once you click on authorize, you need to login with your Smartsheet Account.

Click on Allow button to provide authorization.

Step 7: Choose the Smartsheet Object Type you want to use.

Step 8: Select the Smartsheet Sheet you want to use.

Step 9: Click on 'Connect' button.

Step 9: The available fields from the Sheet Object is listed .

Step 10: Use this as a data source and continue normally with designing your report in Looker Studio.

Step 11: Click on 'Create Report' button.

Step 12: You can customize the dashboard as you want.

Why you need Data Studio for Smartsheet?

Google Data Studio allows you to create reports with data visualizations to share with your clients. When connected to Smartsheet from data studio, you get instant access to Smartsheet data for visualizations, dashboards, and more.
Connecting Smartsheet data source through data studio allows you to build reports from live Smartsheet data in Google Data Studio, without replicating data.
Also you can apply filter based on your desired field and value, or you can create your own calculated field using available fields of Smartsheet. You can use Date Range Control, to get only desired amount of data, in given date ranges.
